Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design
Developed by the US Green Building Council to provide a standard for environmentally sustainable construction and operating practices, LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) is the highest eco-conscious building certification awarded in the US.
During the design and construction of Urbane, the team worked tirelessly to meet a list of criteria to help achieve this certification – in conjunction with the Olive 8 Residences and Hyatt at Olive 8 – including reduced energy and water use, sustainable site development, sustainable product selection and indoor air quality. >> view our Urbane Green Roof video
These efforts continue with the day-to-day operations of Urbane as the restaurant strives to provide a local 'farm-to-table' experience, obtaining its ingredients from the Pacific Northwest, and by participating in rigorous composting and oil recycling programs.
